An evening with the Desua Family

Yesterday, I had a shoot with the Desua family in Flat Creek. They wanted some family portraits to document their baby Catalina's first birthday. We took the pictures in their backyard, and even though Catalina was ready for a nap she did very well for the camera. She was so cute in her little summer dress!

Desta & The Boys

I just did an interesting shoot the other day! Desta Phillips boys & her friend Christy with hers also. All together there were 6 boys, and they were about the same age. The only way I could tell them apart was that one group was wearing shorts & the others were in pants. We did the shoot in a backyard in Bakersville. It was such a beautiful place with a tire swing under a huge tree. I was happy to see all the trees in the yard, since it was raining! The boys all did very well as their moms tried to coax them to look at the camera and smile... but boys will be boys & I think that's when I got the best shots!

Brian & Sonya

Things went well at High Pastures this past Memorial Day Weekend. Brian & Sonya drove from Mississippi for their wedding, & thank goodness it didn't rain! They had the wedding outdoors, & it was the most beautiful I have shot at High Pastures so far. We did most of the "formals" in the woods, near the baptismal pool. I love shooting weddings with a large wedding party, it makes for great photos! Afterwards, they had the reception outside. The tables were covered in colorful yellow tablecloths with each setting placed meticulously where they belong. There was ample opportunity to create some very dynamic images. It was a great day!

Jacey's Pictures Online!

Wow! It's been such a busy week! Business has been great this year, and I love being this busy. I just got Jacey's pictures uploaded to the online proofs. Christy's wedding photos are also finished and I will upload them I soon as I give her the albums. I just love to see each bride's initial response to their wedding photos; it is such an honor to be a part of their wedding, and the look on their face when they see their photos for the first time is priceless!
