David & Leslie's Anniversary

I met with David & Leslie the other day to shoot their anniversary. I took their wedding photos a year ago up at High Pastures. Leslie wants to shoot their portrait around their anniversary every year to see how the years go by. I think it's a pretty neat idea. Below are a few BEFORE & AFTER photos showing the difference in professionally edited photos and ones straight from the camera.

Crafts Fair :(

It’s been a while since my last post and I wanted to just pop in and say hi! I'm sorry to everyone for not being at the crafts fair this year. I really wanted to but couldn't because I’m still neck high in editing right now. I have a bunch of weddings I’m still editing…all the way back from June, as well as portraits, and a few other projects like our new albums. I will have a booth next year though, I'm going to start shooting for it this fall.

Here are a few pics of "Squirt" that I took the other day. It was her 5mo. birthday. I ordered her a proof book in black & white with sloppy borders, I think it will look cool, But SHHH... don't tell Galen, it's a surprise!

Hooray for the new website!

I finally got the new website uploaded! I was ready to get rid of the old purple one. I still have to put some of the prices & stuff on it, but the wedding & portrait portfolios are all new. Here is the link:

I'd love to hear what you think about it!

I'm also renovating my entire price lists. The print prices won't change, but I'm working on the rest. I will have all new wedding packages soon, with some very nice albums to offer. I'll still have the old wedding albums, but they'll only be sold as children's books now.

Aaron & Shanna's Engagement Portraits

The other day I met with Shanna & Aaron at DT's Coffee to shoot their engagement portraits. We just wandered around on Lower Street in Spruce Pine and got some great shots. They were both pretty nervous at first, I guess because they didn't know what to expect from me... but we had a good time after we got to know each other a little bit. This Black & White photo below is my favorite!

Celest's Senior Portraits

This week I visited Celest to take her senior pictures. Her dad rode over so she could get some shots with his Harley. It was an awesome bike! Most of the photos were just taken in her backyard and around her house. We also got some shots with "Pickle", Celest's new puppy. I wondered if I could just sneak Pickle into my camera bag, if they would notice. :) All in all it was a good shoot, and thankfully it didn't rain until we were finished.
